It is a temple of the Soto sect whose mountain name is Ashokayama, and is an ancient temple founded in 1141 as the 75th Emperor Sutoku's chokugan-ji temple. Emperor Sutoku was defeated by Emperor Go-Shirakawa in the internal conflict of the imperial court in 1156 at the end of the Heian period and the Hogen rebellion, and died in Sanuki Province (Kagawa Prefecture) where he was exiled. It is a person. This temple is designated as the 9th Fudasho of the Mizugo Kannon Sacred Ground, and is also the family temple of Mr. Tega, the lord of Hitachi Tega Castle. Mr. Tega is a member of the Hitachi Daijo clan, and is said to have started when the second son of Tamazou Mikimasa lived in Tega Township and named him Tega. There's a parking lot.
