A historic site designated by the prefecture, the Uesugi family's family temple. The mausoleum of successive feudal lords is located elsewhere, but at Rinsenji there are tombs of successive wives, senior vassals, and Kanetsugu Naoe. The guide gave me a detailed explanation, which deepened my understanding. Overall, it was simple, and I felt that the spirit of Takayama was transmitted to the present. Along with the tragedy of the Uesugi family, Ieyasu reaffirmed his dislike of personality.

Uesugi family family temple. The first castle, which was built on Mt. Echigo Kasuga, was relocated and erected at the current location due to the change of country of Kagekatsu. A splendid garden that is one of the Three Great Gardens of Yonezawa, the main hall where the mortuary tablets of the Uesugi clan and precious treasures are enshrined, the Uesugi clan including Mr. and Mrs. Naoe Kanetsugu, Aya-Gozen, Kikuhime, and Toyo And the graves of all the vassals. As it is said that Kanetsugu and Kanetsugu washed away the treasures of Echigo when changing countries, I was just stunned by the many treasures of the Uesugi family. History fans, please go out. I'm glad that the people involved in the temple can explain it carefully. The admission fee is 400 yen, and you can get the red stamp at the admission reception.

It is a temple of the Soto sect in Yonezawa City, Yamagata Prefecture. In the 5th year of Meiō (1496), Nokei Nagao, the grandfather of Keitora Nagao (Kenshin Uesugi), was erected in Takada, Echigo Province (currently Joetsu) to mourn the bodhi of his late father Shigekage. The garden behind the main hall was well maintained and beautiful. Thank you very much for receiving the red stamp of "Shaka Nyorai Buddha" of the principal image.

Kasugayama Rinsenji is a Nagao Nokei, the guardian of Echigo (Yoshikage Nagao → 6th head of Echigo Nagao, the grandfather of Kenshin Uesugi), the guardian of Echigo in 596. However, in order to pass on the morals of his late father Shigekage to future generations, the Zen temple of the Soto sect founded at the foot of Bee-gaho (Kasugayama, Joetsu City) was opened. It is a temple). It is also a temple that Kenshin Uesugi, the ancestor of the Uesugi family of the Yonezawa clan, learned when he was young. Kenshin's childhood name was Tora Chiyo, who entered Buddhist Gate at the age of seven. At the time of its inception, Rinsenji was the Bodaiji temple of Nagao, and became the Bodhisattva temple of Uesugi when the third generation Kakeitora Kagetora inherited Uesugi. Eventually, as a substitute for the scenic spot, Hideyoshi Toyotomi moved to 1.2 million stones in Aizu in 1598, and Ieyasu in 300 years to 300,000 stones in Ieyasu in the next year after the Battle of Sekigahara. As a result of (Tengenbo), Rinsenji Temple was also relocated to the present location (Yonezawa) after Aizu. In the graveyard, there are graves of Kikuhime (Kikuhime → Shingen Takeda's fifth daughter), the first lord of the Yonezawa domain, Kikuhime, and the graves of the wife and clan of the successive clan; At the time of the destruction, there is also a tomb of Nobuyoshi Takeda (Rokuo Shingen), who turned to the Uesugi family, relying on his sister Kikuhime, the husband of his sister, and it reminds us of the ties that have been tied up during the war-torn world. In addition, famous people such as warlords, scholars, and gunmen who have colored the history of modern times are enshrined, and in a quiet appearance, they are telling something to posterity. Naoe Kanetsugu and Masamuro The tombs of the ship (Osennokata) were rare at that time, and the husband and wife were of the same size, and they are still sleeping together. Kanetsugu is a multidisciplinary scholar, and it is said that the studies in Yonezawa such as astronomical geography, military science, and economics originated in Kanetsugu. .. Rinsenji Temple is a designated historic site in the prefecture, and the view of the precincts is ¥100, the view of the temple is general ¥300 (elementary and junior high school students ¥100), and it is ¥400 when both are seen ❗️ The first time I visited Yonezawa for the first time was to rent a bicycle 🚲 (¥1,000 a day), Uesugi Family Mausoleum→Denku no Mori-Yonezawa City Uesugi Museum-→Uesugi Memorial Hall (Uesugi Earl's House)→Uesugi Shrine ⛩, Koshiden , Statues, etc. → Matsumisaki Shrine ⛩, and since Rinsenji Temple is a little far from other facilities, it will be the last time to go, and it will be a visit while watching the time of the bullet train 🚄 on the way back It was regrettable that I couldn't stay slowly because it happened, but the person in charge explained it very carefully so I could understand the history of the temple very well ❗️ 😁
