Really good grilled seafood at reasonable prices. Has parking near by and a small area to eat in. Depending on what you order it can take some time as everything is cooked to order. Would recommend.

Definitely coming back for this fresh street style BBQ!

This is the most CP value seafood sashimi I took in Japan. If you don't take raw seafood, they provide roast also. The taste is just... cannot explain.... Big sashimi oyster 300 yen, and roast one just... 100 yen! Might be it was not located at the tourist point (in front few more hundred meters), it could still maintain at that price. Few street away it would not be this price! Will sure come again if got chance!

Dont go if you are going for quality food, but if you want to support the tsunami reconstruction then visit and try the foods. All the shops on this front could use support from costumers.

The best seafood is a little bit hidden. This part of Matsushima, Isozaki, is where many fishermen have their boats and also stores where they sell their catch directly. Sugihara-san's store sells raw seafood to take home and eat and also has grills where you can get oysters, crabs, eels, various shells and more prepared and then eat it on benches in the seating area. This is some of the freshest and tastiest seafood I have ever had. If you're lucky, Sugihara-san himself will be there. He's a friendly guy and leads a number of initiatives to help Matsushima reinvent itself post-disaster.
