As I love riding the train ever since first coming to Japan with my fiance now husband Ken of 26 yrs ago. I'm enjoying seeing my train station, my husband's hometown train station still being used, and carrying on. I've added photos of places nearby in town after getting off the train at Nakaminato Train station. I was lucky to even capture a couple photos of a Monarch butterfly waiting for me on my bicycle handle bars after coming back from visiting Katsuta Train station. The only manned station on the Hitachinaka Kaihin Railway Minato Line. Since it is also a depot, you can see various vehicles. The white railcar in the photo is the Kiha 11 series used in JR Central. It has been in operation since 2015. The fish market is a 15-minute walk away.

The only manned midway station on the Hitachinaka Kaihin Railway. There seems to be a famous station cat, but I can't meet him easily. It is used for various locations such as Hula Girl's Yumoto Station, as it preserves the dynamics of rural stations. A morning market will be held on the platform of the station on Sundays. The enthusiasm to devise ways to liven up the stations and railways is smiling. Bicycles are rented at the station for 1,000 yen a day. I haven't used it, but it looks good for sightseeing in Nakaminato and Oarai.

A station where the management efforts of local private railways can be seen strongly. A lot of commemorative tickets and character items are available. Even if I want to support, the cash of my travel destination is limited, and I don't mind wherever I visit. However, I am grateful that credit card payments can be made here. Not only the company's own items, but also the collaboration with Aizu Railway, the sales of wet rice crackers by Choshi Electric Railway, and the sense of "coexistence" instead of "not leaving alone" are pleasing to the iron. There was a cat at home.
