八鶴湖の付近には周りを取り囲むように歴史ある寺院が点在しています。本漸寺も八鶴湖を見下ろす高台に位置しています。また周辺には徳川家康の逸話が多数残っています。江戸幕府を開いた家康はこの地を気に入り、しばしば鷹狩りに訪れたようです。本漸寺脇にはかつて東金城があった事から家康の鷹狩り別荘として東金御殿が建てられたようですので、きっと本漸寺にもしばしば訪れたんだろうと思われます。 (境内には家康お手植えと伝わる蜜柑の木があります) ちなみに本漸寺は庭園がとても整備されています。また狛犬が居たりと神社みたいな様相も見せてくれます。

A temple of the Soto sect built during the Kamakura period was converted to the Hokke sect during the Warring States period and is now a monolithic temple. I had a beautiful garden and it was well arranged, and when I visited 20/05/02, the peony that remained in bloom was good. Many people visited the grave on the day, and it was the impression of a temple closely related to the area.

It is a very beautiful temple because it is a land related to Ieyasu Tokugawa. The main hall was made to feel the history. Maybe the scenery around Ieyasu was almost the same as when Ieyasu came. The graveyard was also beautifully managed.

At the end of March 2020 ... I went to "Honjuku-ji Temple" to see the cherry blossoms at Lake Yakuru. Right in front of Lake Yakuru, in the vast grounds, the main hall and gardens… and the temple office are overwhelming! This is a little higher than Lake Yakuru, so you can get a panoramic view of the cherry blossoms of Lake Yakuru from the front of the main hall. There is a parking lot (about 10 cars) at the back of the temple gate, because there is a parking lot (about 10 cars) in the back of the temple gate because you have to walk a little if you stop at Lake Yakuru. How about going to "?" It is okay if you ring the bell at the temple office and ask for the red stamp. The red stamp is very polite. I hesitate because it looks so good.
