Beautiful new station now open. Upstairs a staffed information desk, free wifi, work tables with outlets, train ticket office, Tabi Shop shinkansen ticket office, vending machines and restrooms. Downstairs, more restrooms, bus information, bus stops, taxi stand, and when COVID restrictions lift will have ramen shop. They even have a display of local products and vegetables that the region is known for.

It's a nice small train station. If you bring suitcases make sure you use the elevator since the stairs are a hassle. There is a JR Shinkansen ticket shop inside the station now. Trains don't depart all the time so plan accordingly.

There are 5 Wi-Fi spots and power seats that can be used for up to 4 hours a day. If seats are not thinned out in the corona, there are surely 10 seats for outlets, but only 5 now. There is a soba restaurant on the 1st floor of the facility so you can bear the time waiting for the train. It's rude, but it feels much easier to use than the station in Yokohama, even though it's a station in the countryside of Tohoku.

The station building is new. It is also a free passage from the east exit to the west exit. There used to be a private railway station building at the west exit, and I remember eating buckwheat. There was a cafeteria near the station, but I remember that it wasn't in the combination.
