The Naritasan temple complex is kind of underrated, but very beautiful. If you have a longer layover in Narita it certainly is worth the trip and explore the different shrines and temples in this old park-like landscape. Every temple and shrine has an interesting history with it and in best case you are able to witness a fire ceremony, held in the Main Hall.

Built in the first year of Tenpo (1830), it is a national important cultural property. It is a zelkova-style, three-storied Ichinohe eight-legged gate, with only Karahafu and staggered gables on the front and Karahafu on the back. The sculpture was made by Kamenosuke, the fifth generation of the Goto style, a disciple of Masatsuna, and in addition to the bottle split of Sima Guang, a four arts painting is carved (although the explanation says Seven Sages of the Takebayashi). , Probably wrong). The four bodies of the four heavenly kings, Hirometen and Tamonten, are enshrined, with the front on the right being A-shaped Narayana Kongo, the left being 吽 -shaped Mitsuba Kongo, and the back being the back Buddha. By the way, Zhouchoten and Mochikokuten are in the Great Tower of Peace (although it is a picture).
