A JR station located in the prefectural capital of Shiga prefecture. It is less crowded and easy to use. Facilities such as the station yard and toilets are also clean. There are several restaurants when you exit the ticket gate.

You can reach Kyoto Station in 9 minutes. It is a modern station building, and since it has sufficient function as a station, there is no particular dissatisfaction. The area around Otsu Station is practically a public office district, so there are almost no facilities for general entertainment. If you want to enjoy entertainment and sightseeing, we recommend visiting Hamaootsu area first.

It is a station that should be the center of Shiga Prefecture, but why the atmosphere of Showa remains I wonder if it ’s going to be just a roof of the home. There is an elevator in the home, but there is no escalator

Not only is it poor as a station where the prefectural office is located, but I feel that it was inconvenient to move from north to south. I think it is a pain for this station that the north and south cannot pass due to the ticket gate. I think Kusatsu Station and Minami-Kusatsu Station are more convenient than Otsu Station.
