Shimobe-onsen Station is on the Minobu Line of JR Central. There're souvenir shops near the station. From the Mountain Shichimen trail in Hayakawa-cho, to get on a limited express train Fujikawa, I think it's more convenient to go to this station than Minobu Station.

Do you see it as "obsolete" or "retro"? Perhaps because I went there in winter, the entire Shimobe hot spring was surrounded by a dark atmosphere, and the station didn't give a pleasant impression. If it gets older, it may go around and be retro.

It's a limited express station, but it's an unmanned station. There are souvenir shops and shops where you can eat in front of the station. There is a footbath nearby so don't miss it while waiting for the train...

There used to be direct express trains from Shinjuku. In recent years, it has become an unmanned station and has become lonely. There is only one regular bus running at Mt. Fuji station a day, but it's closed on weekends and holidays.
