Vietnam Embassy Seoul

The embassy was moved to a different place. We had to walk around for hours and asked several local friends to find the exact location. See our photo for new location of the embassy. The embassy is located in the 5th floor of the same building above the A Twosome Place coffee

First of all we went to the given address on the website just to find out that the building was demolished. Couldn’t find any English information on that on the website. Through help from the local tourist information we were able to find the relocated embassy. Went there on the next day in the morning but there were people in front of us so they couldn’t proceed our request for our Visa during the morning hours. We were told to wait until the afternoon just to be told that we couldn’t apply for Visa during the afternoon hours. So after having waited for more than two hours we were sent away and told to come back next week because they don’t work on Friday’s apparently. More than disappointed in the service, never experienced something like this before. They should really work on their communication.

We arrived in Seoul without a travel visa to Vietnam and were able to get one through the embassy in two days, which was an adventure on its own to say the least. If you are patient and polite, they will do everything they can to help. If you walk back into town from the embassy, you encounter many interesting and wonderful things you would not otherwise see when you are in Seoul.

I called the embassy regarding a visa query, and the operator/executive didn't listen to my question, cut me half-way and said, "we don't care, it's not our problem" and disconnected the call. I have never experienced such a behavior from any public office before. Terrible.

Me and my girlfriend have different nationalities, and we did different visas at different times. In bouth cases it worked very well, and we got it in one week.
