Yangdong Folk Village

Calm and quiet. Easily accessible by bus from Gyeongju train station as the bus stops at the entrance of the village. Before entering the village, check the bus schedule, as it could be helpful in planning the return journey, if you're using bus.

highly Recommended! . Unesco's pick! It's not like open-air museum. It is alive! People are living and working there, children are going to school. Very nice and interesting with nice walks through villages if you like to know the history of this country and how people used to live here is a whole new experience and this was one of the destinations.

It's a good place for a family trip. Kinda not that accessible for commuting since there is only 2 buses that really goes inside the village, if you want to drop off into a highway you need to walk for more than a kilometer. But transferring to a bus is possible. You can either take a bus from Pohang Bus Terminal or Gyeongju Express Bus Terminal (farther). As for the village, it is like a historical museum and village that offers tours, they have 20 minutes 30 minutes and an hour tour inside the village. There's also a convenience/cofee/souvenir store inside which is good.

First time here today. Its traditional Korean folk(or upper class) village registered in Unesco World Heritage but not much impressed. I am staying one of the house(민박) for over night for ₩60,000. House has not much to give. Also went to Odong restaurant for dinner. How was it? No more than 3 stars for place to visit/over night/restaurant. Only Tour guide(no charge) was very nice. Its a must-see place if you can squeeze out some time in your itin. Easy to go KTX gyeongju station or in town. But do check bus no. 203 schedule. Or take bus no. 200-208, 212 and 217. Name of station will be broadcasted in enlishg for a few stops like train staion, a park and yangdong village as i took on bus no.207. I was dropped at an intersection and walk for 10 mins to the main gate. There is a well-fesigned musemu and with english description. Wandering around the village is amazing. Experience local lifestyle, peaceful atmosphere, and traditional building skill. Easy to catch bus schedule back to town.
