It was designated as Historic Site No. 468 on January 2, 2006. The designated area is 35,174m2. It is a fortress built between the Danggae Saet River flowing into Dangpo Naru and the main stream of the Imjin River, blocking the east entrance of the site on a 13m high triangular cliff. It was first introduced in 1994 through an index survey of the Army Museum of the Military Academy, and the structure of the castle was revealed to some extent through two excavations since 2003. The east wall is 50m long and the remaining height is about 6m, and the length from the east wall to the west end of the castle is about 200m.
