Rodgers Hideout

Roger’s Hideout is a secluded, and well managed forest camping area on the riverbank of the Kirindi Oya in Kiriyagolla. Accessing the last stretch of the Kiriyagolla road will require a vehicle with reasonable ground clearance. The campsite itself is beautiful and relaxing. Roger’s Hideout provides the required tents, camping gear and meals including a BBQ. Alcoholic drinks can be brought-in by the guests or organized separately. The river is fantastic to bath in and to hang out. The river is full of fish that recognize the owner and flock to the riverbank to be fed (fishing is not allowed). Rogers Hideout also organizes bicycling tours through mountains, tea estates and the forest. Group booking is done via telephone. If you like camping and the outdoors, you’ll feel at home at Roger’s Hideout.

Stayed for a couple of nights back in late 2017: A highly recommended place to stay, especially if you want to escape the overcrowded touristy places. A beautiful isolated area, although it is easily accessible by public transport. The host is also reliable and funny.

If you want a Unique and peaceful experience, out of the buzz and touristic places in Ella this is the right place for you! Full of nature, local experiences, hikes and waterfalls!!! I’ve stayed here for a week and just loved to be soak in that environment! We had great fun with Sujee!!!! He is an incredible host and has the best Dal Ever!!! Looking forward to stay at your paradise again!

It was amazing. I love this place and I will back again. Sujiva is very friendly and very positive person. I spend a lot of time. We play in guitar, sing songs, ride a bicycle. It was very nice. And I have a very good memory about this person and this place.
