A beautiful railway station situated in Kandy Colombo railway road. Nice place to see trains pass over from here.
Although this station is a tiny one, it is very significant. It is the start of many excursions and hikes. It is the getaway to the hills and trains often make a mandatory stop to pass each other.
Friendly staff, the ticket counter is situated on the platform side.
Walk on the track for 500m and you will find Meeyan Ella and the famous tunnel 5A where these wonderful photos are taken.

Situated in a nice and beautiful area of upcountry. Calming environment. Friendly staff. You can get a nice view of Utuwankanda and surrounding area by walking short distance from the station!
