Food, ambiance and service were all good. During our visit, there was a lot of non-Moroccans dining. I suspect this is normal and therefore, authenticity and prices may suffer. When it came to paying, I had to get up from my seat and ask for my change (not a small amount). Aisha herself appeared quite reluctant to do so and got quite grumpy with me. I gave no indication that I didn’t want my change. She eventually produced the cash out of her own pocket. Our server seemed quite embarrassed by it and apologised. It was awkward.

We went to this restaurant when due to covid there were no tourists in town. We knocked on the door of the restaurant which looked closed. After a bit, the owner answered and agreed to prepare food to us, saying that due to covid there are no guests and she is more or less closed. After we ordered, she went out to get the ingredients and cooked for us which took a little while. I had a marrocan salad and salty veggie couscous. A bit later, my stomach started feeling weird and in the evening, it all began. I fell seriously sick (vomiting and diarrhoea) for over 48h. Even though we appreciated her opening the restaurant for us, I wished she hadn't and had simply said that she is not ready to cater to us.

Quaint little restaurant in the heart of the Medina with authentic Moroccan food. Delicious and affordable. After dinner, Aisha herself took us to her brothers store and we stocked up on spices. Highly recommended.

Aisha took good care of us! We had a delicious meal and felt at home in this place! We arrived to Meknes on Friday afternoon as many places were closing - so glad to have found this special place! The pre fixe menu is the perfect amount of food.
