Nice riad in the Jewish quarter of Marrakech. Owned by a Frenchman it’s clean, well appointed and very friendly and helpful staff. We loved our stay here and PHILIPPE was a fabulous host. Breakfast here is also very good and it’s very reasonable.

A great place, nicely decorated. A lovely terrace on the roof. Staff very friendly. Didn’t try the breakfast. It is a little bit hard to reach and it might be noisy for some in the evening depending on the room location, but that’s Marrakesh. We enjoyed it nevertheless.

Recently stayed at Dar Alif for three nights and it was a lovely stay. Firstly the place itself is amazing - 6 cosy and individually decorated rooms. We first stayed in the African room and then the Berber room, as we extended our stay an extra night. The rooms had everything you could think of facility-wise and was very comfy. The staff were great - Jamal was on duty in the evenings and was so welcoming, with a mint tea on arrival. Then breakfast on the beautiful terrace, cooked by the day time staff who were really accommodating to us. Owners Philippe & Isabelle were around in the mornings and were very helpful in planning our stay. Philippe was great by giving us a quick tour of the local area before we went out into the Medina and this was so helpful. It made our experience in the Medina and souqs much better. Dar Alif is highly recommended and we would be back in a heartbeat! Ally & Joe.

Great local riad, room small but most of the time I was out anyway. Good location walking distance to palaces. Nice local Kozy Bar aa few minutes walk. Nice breakfasts on roof staff lovely. Booked a tour to mountains with them and airport transfers very good communication. Would have liked a bath robe and a mirror in bedroom as bathroom a bit Dark and steamy for doing make up. Would go back and recommend.

Quite nice looking riad (inner yard and roof top) but has too many issues. First of all, the riad is extremely difficult to find, locals living half a block away don’t know about its existence, so they are no help, google maps neither. Then, the rooms are very small and cannot be cooled down sufficiently to have a proper sleep (we were really struggling throughout our whole stay to get any sleep in the heat). Thirdly, we were cheated with the exchange rate, the owners use their own exchange rate which means that the final amount of the booking will be more than +10% what your booking confirmation has.
