The Riad Esprit du Maroc is a little paradise in the middle of Marrakech, full of colours and corners to explore, but also, sophisticated and beautifully decorated. As me and my partner stayed for a couple of days, we just felt very lucky by picking up a very peaceful place to stay. Since we arrived in the Riad, the staff very welcoming, helpful and competent, making sure that we had everything we needed as new guests. The manager Sylvie was exceptional, she is one of the most kind people that we could possibly have ever met, Sylvie made us feel at home, we couldn’t ask for more, she was a very friendly and sweet woman, but also wise and intelligent, she will help you with anything you need, since your arrival until your depart, also during your stay and your journey throughout the city, as she knows about the cultural side but also about how the city really works. The Riad is truly going to give you a unique experience, great for instagrammers or bloggers, as you can take beautiful pictures in every corner, such as I enjoyed doing. The room is very cozy and comfortable, it gives the true experience of living in a Riad, and also very calm, which is what I was looking for. The breakfast could have not impressed more, no picture could express how delicate and beautifully made it was, don’t leave the Riad without experiencing it! The terrace is the perfect corner to have the breakfast with fresh air and the sound of the birds. The lunch was again, delicate and beautifully made, we ate nearby the pool, the staff always so gentle and respectful made us feel very special, such as Sylvie, the manager. I stayed with my partner but I fully recommend any sort of stay, such as with family, with friends, or even alone. I truly recommend the Riad and I can not wait to return. Thank you once again to the staff and the sweet manager, Sylvie! And don’t forget to book the PRIVATE TRANSFER with Sylvie from the airport, arrival and departure!

Staff is nice but the owner is unacceptable. Expensive things from me were thrown from the room and the owner was one who made drama about it screaming ON ME that it is my fault. Older, French woman who likes to act like she’s aristocrat making statements like “they smell during Ramadan”, sitting with her Apple in lobby, while her employers must treat her like a queen. Hard to look at it. What’s more, since years she tells people that they can’t pay with a card because the machine is not working. Which is NOT true, as soon as she’s out suddenly it’s not a problem. In addition, Riad is hard to find, you must walk through shady tunnel to get there, and be careful with food. Even if you stay for a week you get exactly the same marmalade, all over again. Be aware, that she will write a comment back, telling that I am lying. She replies this to each bad opinion in internet. Whoever didn’t give her enough stars, she accuses them of being liars and crazy. EDIT: AS I said: reply came very fast and shows you fully with what kind of person you would have to deal with. No, I didn’t find my things. The old woman just try to make it up so other people believe her and not me. But for now I am out, it’s not my level of discussion.

In general the hotel looks absolutely stunning even though it is quite hidden and it is tricky to get there (no access with cars). The rooms both standard and superior are nicely decorated, well equipped, beautiful and spacious. The breakfast was lacking some fresh fruit (for a southern country and a 4-star hotel a must) and maybe some ham & cheese or eggs. The personal was all in all friendly but as many people in Morocco trying to get tips no matter what. The costs after the check out are pretty high for a country like Morocco, be aware of the hotel tax and any other extra services. As for my experience I must say I read many bad reviews but I wanted to give it a try myself. Unfortunately since we arrived a couple people told us already that the hotel was bad and that the manager was not very friendly. This turned out to be true. We had a misunderstanding with the given room and were kicked out of our room by the personal right in the morning after wanting to leave for a city tour. After talking with the manager we realized she does not care about being kind and warm hearted to the customers. She can not even express herself properly in english making communication very difficult. I traveled with a girlfriend and we felt very uncomfortable around the masculine personal of the hotel as they watched us while on the pool or while tanning, just disgusting. All of this was a shame as the hotel is really amazing but all the little things were just too much to take at the very end.

The Hamam was an awesome experience. The ladies providing the service were extremely knowledgeable of the process and polite. The gerante of the riad, Madam Sylvie was hospitable and kind. She offered me complementary drinks and took time out of her busy schedule to give me a personal tour of the riad. I highly recommend it; you will love it, too!

Nice place for spa and Moroccan hamaam. The hotel is managed by a nice lady who takes care of everything. Located in old town area, difficult to find but worth every penny.
