Its one of interesting historique monuments in Safi , where we can find a mix between Portugese and Arabic architecture , there is also old potery museum within that contain really old rare potery pieces . And a tree that were living there more than 4 centurys until now , it came as a gift from portugese people to the sultan

A fantastic, if not perfectly restored gem! The sultans testify to a time when Safi was a coveted trading city that Portugal had then seized. Stunning Moroccan ornaments adorn doors ceilings and the walls are carved in stone as well. The two trees in front of the small building in the courtyard are as old as the complex itself, ie in the middle of the 17th century. I've been told that these two are the only known specimens of this tree species. I worked there under these trees in January 2019 as part of a symposium.

The sultan's house with a fantastic architecture and a garden, a place that deserves a long meditation ☺

A must visit at Safi Morocco. It is Dar Soultan which represents the home of an Alaouite sultan. In the same place there is a Portuguese fortress and buildings from the time of the Almohads. The place offers a panoramic view of Safi. You can see the port, the hill of the potters, the new town and others. There is also the hundred-year-old Phytolacca Dioica tree inside.
