Northen Star guest house offers slightly above decent service for a fair price. The water is clear a bit only at some spots especially around Apaw Ye Island . You have to dive about 2 meter if you want to get a clear sight. There is nothing dangerous for the experienced swimmers and divers in good weather. The local beach services are only to provide ferry to the nearyby islands. So, if you want to do more activities, you should bring your own gears.As far as I can think of, you can do only swimming, scuba diving and snorkeling and rowing boat at Ngwe Saung beach.

I had a very bad experience. The staff wansn't able to speak english at all and it's been extremely hard communicating during my stay. The breakfast was poor and the room tiny (also..staff didn't even clean up). Definitely overpriced

Nice hostel a bit overpriced. Doesnt have TV and has very limited wifi acess.

Hostel quite OK. Community bathrooms for a whole floor and small rooms. Included breakfast not too big. But does the deal for a value accommodation.
