I got ripped off! When I paid for my three day stay at the motel I was new in Myanmar and for some reason thought that the 10k notes were 5k notes so I accidentally paid twice the amount. I even asked the boy at the reception to double check if the amount I gave him was correct and he looked a bit confused but said nothing. Two days later I suddenly realized my mistake. As I have an exact list of my expenses I immediately realized that there were exactly 70k missing - the amount that I had paid too much. I confronted the hotel owner with it and he claimed that they only got 75k. Maybe he told me the truth. In that case the boy whom I gave the money took the difference. In any case I got ripped off by 70k. I'm aware that it's partly my fault because of my negligence at the first day. But still, I expect an honest hotel manager to tell me about my confusion and give me back the money that I overpay. Quite sad because apart from that I was pleased with my stay at the motel

Low standard hotel and thief staff. Well, this hotel was the cheaper in town, so we took that one. Don't expect too much from this hotel. Very little hot water available. Lighting on the entire facade of the hotel and small curtains make you sleep like in broad daylight. However, nothing to say about the cleanliness of the room, it was very clean. The breakfast does not look like the photos, it is not generous and not very good. The staff try to compensate the price of the room by trying to rent expensive scooters (10,000 instead of 8,000 on the street 2 minutes walk). I guess it's the same for bus tickets. Above all, the problem we had was that one of the staff's women came to see us right after we had left the room, to fine us 3000 kyats because one of the towels was dirty! Absolutely amazing! We are very disappointed with this behavior which absolutely does not resemble the behavior of Burmese in general. This person is a thief. I advise you to take another hotel, even for a few dollars more, because in this one you are not safe from suffering what we have suffered.

I give this place 4 stars, because the staff and the owner really made a big effort to. make my stay as comfortable and relaxed as possible. The breakfast is ok, i could choose between rice and noodles. i got a full plate of watermelon and other local foods that did the job. the room and the bed was clean. warm shower. functioning air-conditioning. I stayed here because the hostels were fully booked. for a solo-traveler it is not really suited. still, i had a very good stay.

Mosquito Misery at Midnight It was around midnight when the problems all began, There was an itching and buzzing on my face and hands. In restless sleep for many hours the peace was broken, Until finally I could no longer bear it and I was rudely awoken. I searched the room for the source of the unpleasant disturbance, A faulty mesh window covering that was of no service. Those who sleep here must do so at their own peril, Stuff a towel in the bathroom window or your sleep will be terrible.
