the Buddha is so big is hard to put in a picture, they are building a second Buddha in front of it. inside you can see statues with stories of budhism

The Reclining Buddha and its complex beneathe with a museum of the statues of historical background in more than 4 tiers. One will need Half a day to visit everywhere inside the Complex. This is called Win Sein Taw Ya - world largest reclining Buddha near Mudon 20+ km from Mawlamyine The top tier statues were yet to be painted till February 2019. Construction of an equal & parallel Grand Statue of Lord Buddha (in reclining position ) opp to the existing one at Mudon (Mon State) 20 km from Mawlamyine -Myanmar is in progress. The Skeletal Concrete Framework of the prospective Gigantic Buddha Statue (only Face has been built as in Feb 2019) is attached to appreciate the 8 storeys from the bottom which cannot be seen after finishing the whole structure .
