This place gives it all : History, beauty, drama, romance... U Thant, is really the personification of Myanmar at its best ! Also, as Secretary General of "United Nations" , he was the 1st one to care about the planet !!

Really nice place to visit. Got a lot of knowledge and history. Really enjoyed where his biography is narrated through the projector. Definitely recommend visiting! P.S. also a decent place to take photos ;)

One of the best spots to visit for relax and knowledge. Bring your kids or students to motivate them as a Burmese or whosoever. Cool, inspired, knowledgeable and historic.

One of the best places in the city. I didn't know that I would be that inspired by U Thant at his home. Young people, especially school children, should check this place out.

This building was once home to U Thant, a Burmese Diplomat who served 2 terms in the UN during the 1960s. His grandson came back from the US and restored this building to a museum, in memory of his grandfather. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable, the place was serene and tranquil. One of the best museums I've seen in Yangon, all exhibits have English explanation and you are free to move around and touch most exhibits, though I would caution visitors to handle them with respect. Best to get a taxi here, it's nowhere near any bus stops and like some of the reviewers have mentioned, enter via Inya Road
