Good information about Mon in the past although it is not complete. More support should be provided to Museum on the operation and maintenance.

Very interesting museum, many explanations in english on artcraft, culture & tradition. A particularly beautiful collection of anciant bouddha statues on the second level. Worth the visit (worth bringing a lamp on some sections). Closed on monday, 5000k per person.

Good descriptions and relics of ancient Mon and Pyu civilizations, Mon cultural and livelihood traditions, etc. Ancient coins, weapons, etc. A bit on the British colonial period. Rooms full of Buddha images. 5000 kyats per foreigner. Very quiet, nobody there. Possible to take a nap on a hot day.

A decent effort at preserving Mon history, but the job of presenting information and maintaining the museum could have been done better.
