Barrio Antiguo

Lovely. Safe, full of cafés, restaurants, bars and shops. The architecture is beautiful and you can walk around and see lots of people having their quinceañera, engagement, baptism or birthday photoshoots. Try Me muero de hambre for a fun meal, a café library for a good pastry or buy some soaps at Colibrí. You wil love it!

If you're going to be in Monterey, you have to check this place out. There are a lot of good places to eat or see live music. It's a good place to visit on Saturday night or during the day on Sunday where they have a market place. There are also various street performers from time to time. (Full disclosure: I am a musician and I have performed there.)

Its OK to go for a beer to Iguana or Almacen 42
