Punta Cometa Mazunte

Not the best but good for watching the sunset. Very crowded and hard to reach. The paths that lead to the point are narrow, and it just takes one slip to fall off the cliff.

Most outward point in Zipolite and perfect for watching the sunset. There are 2 main areas where you can sit down and enjoy the sunset. There is not a lot of parking, so either catch a cab, or arrive some 45 mins before sunset and park you car as close as possible. The hike is around 20-30 mins and has many ups and downs, if you have tennis shoes... use them! Don't bring beer and think it's a party. I saw a guy with sandals and some beers in hand walking down... AFTER the sunset! There are no trash cans and I do advise against hiking back while intoxicated. Due to COVID, remember to bring your masks and social distance (there is enough space on the point). ENJOY!
