Do it with a tour guide. They explain it further than just looking at ruins but their actual historical relationship. And Mayan culture is so interesting you'll want to hear it all. I loved our trip there. It's amazing it see what humans are capable of.

A better site than Tulum. After seeing this ruin I feel Tulum is overrated

Such an impressive and magnificent site. The ruins of palaces, the intact sporting venues, and the massive temple are a must see. Unfortunately the temple is not open for climbing right now. Be sure to take a tricycle to the ruins, the drivers are knowledgeable and very hard-working. Our driver, Oscar #29, was superb.

Total budget for this was $190 per person, this includes: $50 parking (own car), $80 entry (for nationals Sunday is free), $60 bicycle rent (Worth it, the place is big) Read tons about this site online before you come, make sure you bring your hiking shoes with good gear. The floor is full of mold and is really slippery. The place is really neglected by the government but you can see that locals do their best to keep it good.

Amazing place to visit! Definitely rent the bikes! If you can't bike you can catch a ride with the bike taxis. We've visited twice on a tour but we would come back again. We love AlmasLdsTours for all the knowledge and amazing history they share!
