Zapata Antojeria y Bar

The Good- I have been here a few times with my girlfriend and we actually really enjoy the place. There is good bar food items like wings, burgers, pizza and the shots are 2 for 1. The wings I really enjoy although they are small but still good. The pizza is good and the arrachera fries are even better. They also have good deals on certain days like 6 peso wings and 100 peso pizzas. The Bad- The reason for only 3 stars is the service is average at best. We arrived about 20 minutes prior to happy hour ending and sat unattended for almost the entire 20 minutes. We wanted to get an order of drinks but the server came back after the happy hour and said she could not put the order in. We have also been other times and the servers do not make you feel welcomed and you can tell they don’t really want to serve you. Not a deal breaker which is why we keep going but definitely takes away from the 5 stars.

Food was good n reasonable however did not enjoy eating outside since it is on the street where the buses are consistently running.

Food Poisoning. That’s all I’m going to say. I will not describe the diarrhea, queazy stomach or chills I’m currently feeling from last nights meal which consisted of one of their pizzas and 10 of their wings. I won’t talk about how my day is ruined now and I have things I need to do. No, instead what I’ll tell you is I’m under a blanket, killing time and praying this goes away quickly and doesn’t last several days. Don’t say you haven’t been warned.

The food was so so. I had the wings and potato wedges. They have a pretty large menu and many great drinks. For drinking it is a good place with a few mezcals, and many types of beers.

People that work here are literally incompetent. I don’t even know what else to say. Food is fine.
