Mina el Nopal

The mine tour was very interesting and informative, about the history of the Nopal mine and mining in general. Our small group leader was able to explain both in Spanish and in excellent English. Impressive!

Tours are done in small groups frequently. The tours are also led by university students studying in the field so they know their stuff and are engaged and eager to answer questions. Highly recommend it and our kids ages 4 to 11 also enjoyed.

We had Sergio as a guide - he is awesome and is a geology student at the university. He was nice and helped translate some words into English when we did not understand. Interesting mine, dark and beautiful.

It was an awesome experience with all my family, you get to know the minary process and also to get to know the minerales.

We attended early on a Saturday morning. My wife and I were given a tour by Juan a young university student who was very polite and knowledgeable. The tour lasted about an hour and was very informative and entertaining. Great way to get an introduction to a Guanajuato mine.
