Nice hotel and very clean. The linens smell fresh and clean. But the best thing of all was, I left a credit card in my room when I checked out and later in the day the gentleman at the front desk called me to let me know. Thank you so much to the cleaning staff for turning that to the front desk and to the gentleman at the front desk.

Excellent location in the heart of downtown, convenience store across the street, restaurants and food stands to the left and right. Literally walking distance to red light district. Rooms are clean, hot showers, modern design throughout the hotel and aesthetic. My new favorite hotel in TJ!!

This hotel is a scam. I booked for my birthday week, and I guess I had too much stuff? They gave me a hassle for having 6 suitcases (I travel for work). the air conditioning unit was broken for the first three nights of our stay, leaking all over the floor/I had to put towels down on the ground which ended up smelling like mold. At the end of the week, I was waiting in the lobby for my taxi, and was kicked off the property. When I asked to speak to the manager, he declined. I later got an email from the hotel, accusing me of extortion- because I requested a 3 night refund due to the inconveniences. The hotel was upset that I slept all day, which was amazing because I thought that's what I paid for! The hotel personnel did not wear a mask properly, nor did the repairman. I have the email to prove + photos to show how this is not a covid19 safe property. At the end of my stay, when I informed booking.com of the difficulties, I was sent an email from hotel Rio Rita excu

This hotel was like going to jail. The rules imposed were restrictive to say the least. I had 1 visitor and they refused to allow any one else to see my room even though they had left, this prevented my girlfriend from staying the night with me and I had to get another room for the night. Zero stars small rooms no drinking allowed on the premises outside the room unwilling to accommodate guests.

Excellent choice for me , on nice street with restaurants and bars , clean and safe , excellent price too. , great find will do again
