Traffic getting to Hertz located Ysindo was horrific, but thanks to employees we were able to checked in and on our way quickly

After a year from my first visit I have decided I finally write a review for this place. Customer service is bad, the employee in that "closet" I cant even call it a office, is like a robot. started talking and doesn't even make eye contact with clients. I was there for a average of 45 minutes both visits when I and customers in line already had reservations. They should really consider making this a real office and have more ppl helping customers. my reservation was for a class G, what a consider a full size car. believe it of not both times I got the exact same car, a Chevrolet Malibu, the car definitely had signs of wear and tear, even after a year the car had the same bumps and dings all over. I was really bumbed to get the same exact car the second time. this really questions the company and there inventory refresh. The car consumed way too much gas the second time around, so I was not happy about that. I will really consider going elsewhere now.

I reserved a car online for $2.86 USD (1 day reservation for a compact car). When I arrived to pick up the car, they told me that price did not include insurance. My credit card has rental car insurance, so I said that was fine. Although my card does cover rental cars in Mexico, they argued that it did not and didn't accept that it does. They then offered 80% coverage for ~ 1000 MXN and 100% coverage for ~ 2000 MXN. After asking them why the cheapest insurance for 1 day was roughly 20x the price to rent the car, they said they could cancel my reservation and give me the local rate which brought the price down to ~600 MXN for rental charges and 100% insurance. At this point, I had lost all trust in them and felt that they would create a frivolous damage claim upon my return if I didn't get 100% coverage through them. Sure, I could fight it, and the credit card would cover it, but the hassle didn't seem to be worth the ~600 MXN. So, I took that rate. If it was clear when I was reserving the car that it would be ~ $30 USD I would have been fine with that, but intentionally or unintentionally misleading customers about credit card car rental insurance policies, then charging exorbitant rates is messed up.

I wish I could give zero stars. We have been waiting for 50 minutes for someone to come to the office, we prebooked and checked-in and yet no one is here. We keep being told they are coming. This is our holiday they are wasting. What is the point in booking with a large company like hertz.
