Mex Rent a Car

Didn't have my car, tried to upcharge me. Didn't offer a comparable car, so I didn't even get a rental. Shuttle didn't pick me up so I ended up walking back and forth from the airport. Really are the worst. Stick with Avis or Hertz so you can pick up at the door.

Hate it hate it hate it As always all these companies like Expedia and Orbitz advertise a price for the car and at the same time they sell you an insurance, and when you get to the counter in here the guy at 7:30 am is already in bad mood telling us that the price is not correct and the actual price is way higher, I understand is his job but the attitude is not the correct one, really bad experience, why do you advertise in the United States with a bogus price and don't respect it? Not a chance I'm doing business with these company, and of course don't recommend it, go next door, to Dollar rent a car, better service and prices.

Extremely bad service. After making an online reservation, and receiving the confirmation plus voucher, i was simply told there was no car available?! After several calls with customer service NO solution was provided. After almost 2 hours waiting i left and rented a car at Dollar. Disappointing Mex rent a car. Never again

So, I have rented here several times in 2017. The man at the front desk speaks good english and is very friendly. I never had a problem with being charged more or having insurance or upgrades pushed upon me. They have been true to their word. They do require a 10,000 peso deposit for the rental which is higher than the normal $250 that you would find in the USA. As far as issues when returning, I didn't have any. One time they were closed early morning and I just left the car in the front with the keys under the seat. No problems there. One time there was something wrong mechanically with the car when i returned it. I can't remember what exactly, but I didn't notice it when I rented. However, they did not charge me extra and understood that I didn't do anything to the car. Overall, great rental experience here as compared to other places in Monterrey. Best prices as well. For this reason, I'll be renting again in a few days.One thing to note, during busy times, you may have to wait 20-30 minutes. But that is true at any rental agency.

Stuff dont speak any English and with the rentalcars prepaid insurance they want to give as necessary (first time they say its necessary) their insurance for $500 (!!!), but dont beleive it, only after 10mins discussing they say its optional insurance. Check the car carefully when you get it. Rent their cars only via rentalcars (because they will protect you), not 1-to-1. But everything else was good.
