Hotel Casa Francisco Cuernavaca

Got upgraded to the executive section!

Place was beautiful and staff were friendly and attentive but my friends and I had a few mishaps with the hotel amenities. My friends and I were here for a wedding as a large group. Some of the rooms had multiple things wrong with them. From electrical outlets not working all the way to AC issues and jacuzzi not working. The staff would also remind you that tip wasn't included which made us all wonder if they were being properly compensated for their work.

WARNING!! THE CLEANING STAFF WILL STEAL FROM YOU!!! DO NOT COME HERE!! I stayed at this hotel with my mother for one night (we booked it for two). The doormen and pool staff were great and very attentive, but the management was absolutely horrible. We decided to leave early to go to another because the two small pools were packed and kids and adults were screaming everywhere, shooting water guns, jumping in the pool, etc. etc. and we felt that we could not relax there. Because we were in such a rush to leave the next morning, I forgot to pack my leather toiletries bag, which included (My new $100 USD razor, toothbrush & paste, medicine, hair gel, and my two colognes which both cost over $200 USD). As soon as we got to the other hotel, I realized that I had forgotten all of my things and called the hotel. When I told them what I forgot, they said not to worry and that they will get it for me. That same night I called to check on the status of my things, and the front desk attendant (who was very rude) told me that they hadn't found anything and that I was confused and mistake. When I told him that I was not because I was 100% sure I had the bag (because I have to take that medicine every night) and that I left it there, he said that I was wrong. After dinner that night, my mother and I both went back to the hotel to ask them in person to find my things (mind you, we had only checked out less than 12 hours prior). They then proceeded to tell us that we were wrong and that their staff always returns things left from the guests and point to a bag of old sandals as proofs (seriously?... $3 dollar sandals VS $400+ toiletries bag). We then told them that we would be back tomorrow morning and that we expected management to talk with the person/s who cleaned my room to get my things back. The next late morning, when we returned, we were told that they hadn't even asked the cleaning staff and that we would have to wait in the lobby (they obviously didn't care enough to ask the staff like they said they would). After waiting for 5 minutes, the manager came back and said that no staff person turned in any items. This hotel management is horrible, inconsiderate, and unprofessional. On top of that, their cleaning staff will apparently steal from you anything of value (but will turn your $3 sandals) while the management will cover for them. We will NEVER stay at a Barcelo hotel again, and we suggest you don't either. There are MUCH better hotels in Cuernavaca.

I really enjoy this place if I want to relax for a couple of days after being in crazy, crowded Mexico City. I had a wonderful poblano omelett this morning. Egg with Manchego cheese, onions and poblano sauce on the top, plus refried beans. The best desayuno I have ever had. I really recommend this place.

Very nice hotel! I wish I would of stayed here last time I was in Cuernavaca. Large rooms with cozy beds, very very clean. I was only here from midnight to 7am, I wish I could of been here longer.
