Eat Like a Local Mexico - Food Tours

I went on both the Mexican Food 101 and Street Food at Night Tour. This company has a great philosophy of - small groups - great relationships with vendors - social responsibility (they teach English to children and vendors) - sustainable tourism - pride in Mexico City and showcasing the best of the best - really caring about their customers (they wanted me to check in with them when I arrived to my next destination in Mexico) And most importantly, the guides have a real passion for food! All the stops on both tours were delicious, varied and interesting. The tour is great to do if you have a short time in Mexico City and want to try as many dishes as possible! So come hungry!!!

This was hands-down the best tour of any kind I’ve ever been on. Equally delicious and educational, led by a super-organized tour guide (thank you, Astrid). We got amazing street food that we would never have dared to experience on our own, and a tour thru two huge and amazing Mercados where we would have quickly gotten lost without such a knowledgeable guide. Note: I am a vegetarian and our guide, Astrid, took great care of me. Oh, and an introduction to the Mexico City Metro. We were always confident in our safety, being in such good hands. And Eat Local does amazing work in these Mercado communities with children who need a helping hand. Fabulous all the way around.

We had an excellent tour - highlight of the trip. All the tacos were excellent, local knowledge and ease of seeing the city with a great guide. Would not have been able to find these spots without the expertise, or cover all this ground. A must do!

This is like a cheat code to get to know the city and done with amazing staff that has real care for country, the markets and vendors. The tour and the food is authentic and delicious and can be customized to your interests. I could not recommend it more!!

This was the highlight of our trip to Mexico City. We did the 101 tour with Rocio. She's a great guide: knowledgeable, funny, engaging, flexible and down to earth. The food was amazing! We ate our way to the market and all the way back. Take the advice to arrive with an empty stomach very seriously. Highly, highly recommend.
