This place is off the beaten path so take a vehicle that can handle dirt roads. Make sure to bring snacks or drinks because there is nothing to eat there. Restrooms are clean. The groundsmen keep the site impeccably clean as you walk around. Signs are a little battered but you can still read them. Once inside you can roam pretty much anywhere and climb to your heart's desire, not sure how much of a good thing this is, people will inevitably the damage site. Entry was free. Love this hidden gem, only one other group had visited that day and we were the last ones.

Amazing place to visit. It might not be on some guide. It is a little hard to get to in a car but not impossible. Too far to walk from the main road.

After a 30 minute ride from Jalpan de Serra, you can find this magical place, built by ancient mexican cultures (huastecos). Located in the heart of la Sierra Gorda de Querétaro, it's worth making a stop to visit this important archaelogcical site of the state of Querétaro.
