I don’t even want to give one star. Hertz don’t deserve it. My friends book the car 20 days ago. And today we are here try to get car and Hertz don’t have car for us. Now one more customer also don’t have car. What’s wrong with Hertz? Most famous car rent in the world. Don’t try Hertz!! Be careful... bad service I never had. They are over booking. Now have 3 people are waiting.

I booked a Nissan March car (or similar) from 10am on Friday December 20th to Friday December 27th. When I showed up at the counter at 2pm on the 10th, they first tried to upsell me on insurance, telling me the rentalcar "full coverage" doesn't cover everything (hugh, what's full means then?!). They wanted MXN 4000 for a full coverage (so the price of the rented car...). I said no. Then, they told me that the car wasn't available (really? why did you want me to pay extra insurance then?) because it was set to 10am ; saying they had no obligation to keep the car available for me... (Hmm, what's booking means then ?!) Told me I needed to upgrade to get another car (and not ruined our holidays plans). Not a lot of choices here, so I took the upgraded category (only for $MXN100 / day though). Funny that I get the exact Nissan March I had in my confirmation email from rentalcars... So, even if the amount is little, feel like it is not fair business. We have friends who had the exact same experience from these guys (trying to get MXN$20000 insurance!!) so they canceled. Also, when I took back the car, there was a guy with the same experience: booked a car one month ago but it wasn't available. You should definitely avoid Hertz Julio Verne / Campos Eliseo.

What a disappointement! I arrive and like others said here, the type of car i wanted is not available. They try to charge me 25$ morenoer day so around 300$ more for the period i want. I cleary rejected this option so now i have to wait for the type of car i want to arrive!! So i ll leave Mexico 3h to 4h later when i have plan organized... This without mentionning that the assurance fares are just crazyyy!!! For full assurance plan it would be 2 000$ CAD for 2 weeks. This is just unreal! Better i buy a car here for two weeks. This is the worst experience in car renting of my life and I rented car in Europe,Africa, Colombia, USA.Terrible start for my trip.
