Thrifty Car Rental Ixtapa

Don't waste your time! The rates were awesome and it would have been great if they would have provided the car they promised me. No cars were available when I arrived at the airport and of course at Christmas, no one else had a car. Left with no way to go visit family for the holidays. Thanks Thrifty for helping to make my holiday bright! Not!!

Biggest bunch of thieves around! They would not honor a reservation purchased online at Hotwire and said the insurance we purchased with the on line rental wasn't valid. They then proceeded to tell us all they had available was one for $127 instead of $55. He asked another agency to lend a car and gave us a 2012 car in the worst condition i have ever seen. Dents, scratches, filthy inside! I would stay far away from these clowns!!!

The rented vehicle had mechanical problems. We had to come back by bus because they could not deliver me another vehicle before 4 hours. After confirming by phone that my return by bus would be refunded and that there would be no charge for the rental, they refused to refund me and charged more than double the price agreed for the rental on my card credit! Never again will I do business with this company.
