Museo Leonora Carrington

The museum is located in a building that was originally a prison and was renovated and now holds the exhibit. The place and it's courtyards alone are worth a visit if you are in San Luis. Leonora's exhibit is interesting and you can read about her life. The exhibit -although small- consist mostly of sculptures that look amazing in the open spaces and some sketches and paintings. My only criticisms is that some of the rooms are very dark and it is hard to truly appreciate the pieces.

Got here at 5:30pm today (Friday). Some party being set up so they’re closed. Was told come back at 7pm. Waited around and they said 8:30pm. It’s a tiny exhibit. What a waste of my Friday night.

Great tribute to the best mexican painter. Here you can appreciate the work and life of this surrealistic artist, the most important México have had.

It’s okay if you are into art, the admission wasn’t expensive dir a student, but if you aren’t into art don’t go there

Not a lot to see. Not sure if it was due to the FTC that the exhibition were still being added in.
