Salinas Rosas

It is an incredible place to get to know since there they explain to you that the pink salt that they sell to you in the super saying that it is Himalayas really is not true but it comes from there, from the Salinas Rosas and this place is beautiful. There they sell you salt, habanero powder and delicious honey. People who live and take care of that place ask that they be respectful of the Salinas, so they are asked to respect the green areas and not litter.

Different and authentic. You can see the pink waters and take pictures. The owners do not charge entrance and let you walk through their fields. You can also buy salt for very little (10 pesos a bag). Highly recommended Also add that you save going to the Colorado, which is 3 hours from Merida, if you really only want to see this phenomenon. It is only 1h 15min from Mérida. I recommend looking for a sunny day so you can appreciate the pink color of the water. You can be lucky and see some flamingo, fish and other birds.
