Piramide de Itzamatul

We visited the afternoon about 3-4pm on Feb 16, 2021. The gate was locked shut, so I marked this place as temporarily closed. I think it would have been interesting to climb this pirámide and look over the town, but unfortunately we did not have the opportunity.

Great free experience and you can climb to the top. Also, the people of this town are friendly and happy.

This was a great place to check out and it was free. There was a ton of garbage around the site, and I took my time to clean all of the garbage off around the pyramid. But I still loved the area and all the people around here that live in this city are extremely pleasant and welcoming. I am Buddhist, and although I do not follow the Mayan religion, I prayed at the top of the pyramid to Buddha and also to the Mayan spirits.

One of the most beautiful places I've ever been! This pyramid is just fantastic. Check out the information around. Definitely a must stop if you're visiting the peninsula.
