I was never sure a library could be so cool, but this one definitely is!

It is well-organized and has an impressive collection. There are many spaces for other cultural activities and they’re free. Seating spaces are enough, but most individual lightings won’t work and when it gets dark, makes it almost impossible to read. Some restrooms are broken and with no soap or paper towels. But in general, it is one of my favorite places in Mexico City.

A truly magnificent building. I often give private lessons here and would enjoy more seating with tables in the green areas downstairs (since backpacks are not allowed in certain parts of the library). The place offers many services that go beyond your usual library, such as concerts, movies and overall marvelous views of the city and the architecture itself. It's even a nice place to walk around during a first date or to read something while you relax from the chaos of the city.
