Museo de Sitio Mina de Acosta

The museum is really interesting! You only pay $45 per person, if you want to take some photos you need to pay an extra of $25. The tour starts with the story of mining in the region and later you can enter into an abandoned mine, while walking you'll heard the guide telling you some stories about the working of the mine in older years. The tour lasts about 2 hours, I recommend you wearing warming clothes because the air is getting colder while you're walking through the mine.

At this mine, which is located just below La Mina Dificultad, you can enter the mining tunnels. The guided tour is rich with the history of mining ,as well as the very complex process of extracting silver and many other minerals. This is a very good tour, a must do to understand the history and the very existence of this town.

A very important museum in the history of mining in Mexico. You'll learn a lot about how Europeans and north Americans invested in this place and how they helped to get the most of mexican minerals. There's maps, photos, real mining artifacts and a closed entrance to the old mine. There's also a souvenir store as well and all the place is clean.
