Tolantongo

You can swim in the grottos on the mountains and the view is breathtaking, also visit volcanically heated rivers and waterfalls. Take your own camping gear and you can setup a tent near the rivers and make your own food, e.t.c. There are also restaurants and lodging nearby, but the lodging is always full. They rent out tent equipments as well. Recently the place has become crowded and hence you will find a lot of tents and camps clustered and in a crowded fashion. But nevertheless its a good place to visit.

After four hours drive it was definitely worth it. I will come again. 4x4 car is recommended. The whole facility was clean and the operation staff were super friendly and professionals

What an amazing place to visit for natural hot springs and warm water caves! Great for couples and families. Many areas to soak and grab some sun. They have multiple parking lots, changing rooms, and restaurants. Campsites are available as well as hotel rooms but they are first come first serve; no reservations can be made ahead of time. It can be overly crowded. This is an all day trip; to get the most of it, leave early around 6-7am and head out in the evening. Totally worth the long trek!

Can’t recommend that place enough .. beautiful, relaxing, healing, safe and clean. You can camp or stay in one of the offered rooms ( we camped so I don’t know what is the state of the rooms). It’s less than 3 hours away from the capital, not the best road ever, but believe me it worth it. The water is great and a long weekend is a minimum time to spend there. You can BBQ, or eat at one of the food places there ... you don’t have to bring your tent as they can rent you a tent, camp fire woods as well as BBQ grill. Downsides: not great road to the location. To many people. The rest is amazing tbh.

This place is amazing unfortunately hospitality is very poor ,they really don't care if your stay is a good one no hot water in showers,need to ask for towels to shower .upgraded to a bigger room but got smaller bed ,when we went to discuss the matter they wanted to Chargers 400 pesos more to downgrade because of the cleaning seal that was on the door didn't even walk in wasn't a good stay this time .but like I said beautiful place.
