Avis Car Rental

Several problems over a few month period of rentals... Most notably the customer service is non-existent. I am absolutely blown away by the lack of customer service and ownership. Very difficult to reach by phone, and very delayed in returning calls. I had my power steering pump blow. I contacted the location for a replacement. They sent a crew to verify. I waited for 4 hours for the crew to arrive, and they did not bring a replacement vehicle. It was 4 hours later before a replacement vehicle arrived, and my whole day was lost. One of the vehicles I received looked like it was the mechanics vehicle. The inside was covered in grease and dirt, and they would not exchange the vehicle. I had the window broken from one of my vehicles, and glass all over the inside of the drivers side. They told me I needed to drive to the repair shop. They could not help me, and to have the repair shop send the bill to Avis. Yet, my final rental I picked up another vehicle with a dashboard warning light on, and by the time I reached the city, I had to put air in 3/4 tires. I requested an exchange, and I had to drive to a different location to swap vehicles. The vehicle they exchanged did not have AC. They charged me for an upgrade when receiving the bill at the end of the rental period. They said they had to upgrade because they did not have any other vehicles to replace (not sure how this became my problem).They also tagged on a gas charge, because i did not return the vehicle full. It was originally half tank. We will not be using this Avis location in the future. Absolute nightmare, and we tried so many times to work with them.

I have been calling more than 8 times during their hours of service and nobody answered the phone. I need to change the reservation time and the computer system did not work for that.

always solving and answering any questions or needs I have had. there is no other leasing agency as efficient as them. the staff always with an attitude of service.

It is a real can for you to send your invoice - it is better to ask for it at the counter even if they tell you that they will send it to you the next day - a zero!

Very bad service, I booked a car a month in advance and the day I left Houston I left with delay due to bad weather and I arrived in Queretaro and this place was already closed and I spoke on the phone and they told me that I was to blame for arriving late, and what if he wanted the car to pick him up the next day and take a taxi at that time! What lack of professionalism and responsibility !!! I do not recommend this place at all !!!
