Great playground with several play areas for kids of different ages. There are lots of benches and sitting areas and a decent amount of shade. There is a carousel that runs in the late afternoon and evening, and a little train that runs a few times per day. Both were free. We went on a Sunday and there was a painting station set up for 20 pesos per page. There was also a face-painting station that we didn't try. There are bathrooms with no soap or toilet paper but that's pretty typical here!
We loved this playground while we visited Oaxaca! It was a 6 minute walk from our apartment, and our three year old ran himself ragged playing and having fun, going down for nap and bedtime like a charm. They keep it super clean, and we actually arrived early one morning while a whole team were sweeping up. Its hours were 9am-8pm, and it's well lit in the evening.
Fantastic concept. A playground, a daily train and carousel offering, and a community toy and book library. Our kids had an amazing time here. The community library is open until 4:30p. The heat is a serious concern here so go as the sun is setting or early morning for the best experience.
Great park with a lot of different play equipment.
On the Saturday we visited they also had someone hosting a painting corner where children could paint pictures, they were running a small train around the park (although only ever few hours) and they had a book corner where kids could read.
It was very smart and clean. There were a few people selling water and snacks at the entrance of the park!
Fantastic large playground with free extra entertainment (was there Saturday afternoon) including a little train ride for kids and painting/colouring in. Lots of nice shaded options for parents/guardians to sit.
