I payed 390 US$ for 4 days Jeep Renegade and they gave me a Nissan Kicks with a destroyed windshield. It was rainy and the windshield got foggy, not save to drive. Also there was a problem with the wheels as the yellow lamp showed up. I wanted another car but they said they only have this one! This is the worst downgrading ever seen! This car is not safe for renting. If you dont have a car in conditions dont open it for rent. They said they can cancel my booking but this is extortion as I had no other chance to book. 1 day earlier I could have booked another company. They just give a s. on you and the staff is not trained unexperienced and the boss is BAD Guy!

We made a reservation months ago and when we got to the airport. They came up with an extra insurance that we had not heard of, this mysterious insurance more than tripled what we had been quoted. I have rented from her before and never had to pay anything like this. They ultimately left us stranded until we were able to get alternative transportation.

A reservation was made two months in advance. When we arrived the horribly rude service agent claimed that rental requires a licence that is over a year old. Refused service for this reason. Have checked the terms and conditions and spoken with Avis directly. No such ridiculous rule exists. Clearly had messed up and rented the car to someone else. Leaving us with nothing. Will be reported to the relevant authorities for denial of service. Disgusting. Avoid like the plague.

I paid for full insurance on a weekly rental. When I returned the car I was told I’d be charged to vacuum the car. I disputed it because the car was hardly dirty. Then I waited for a half hour for my receipt. They played with printer and somehow were never able to give me a receipt. I didn’t want to miss my plane so I left with no receipt. Not surprisingly, I received a bill for $290 more than what was on the rental contract. There seems to be no way to get in touch by phone. The line is always busy. Sketchy at best. I recommend renting cars in the town of Huatulco and avoiding all of the on site rentals. I’ve had problems with all of them. Last time eoropcar charged me for breaking a seat belt that never worked from the start ($200!). IN RESPONSE TO YOUR REQUEST on JUNE 14: SEND ME AN EMAIL ADDRESS AND I WILL SEND YOU MY RESERVATION NUMBER. OR DO YOU WANT TO CORRESPOND ON THIS OPEN FORUM?

Professional, friendly and efficient process. The car was as preordered, in good condition. On the way back, the whole region was paralyzed by a taxi driver protest blocking the only intersection out, preventing us from getting to the airport. However, the guys at Avis went above and beyond, helping us get out of there by picking us up on the other side of the road block, and driving us back to the airport so we could catch our flight in time. Impressive service!
