Lang Tengah Island

If you love diving, snorkeling, beaches and away from the city, you have to come here to experience it

Visited this island 10 months ago and fell in love with the place. On previous visit, managed to cleared up tons of plastic bottles from the shore. Now after virus locked down and 10 months later, same place, same shore, those plastic bottles are back (this time I came back with biodegradable bin bags). The state government and federal government in general should banned plastic bottles on the island. And we as visitor on the island as well as intelligent human beings should think deep before using these bottles and simply littering them everywhere and into drains, rivers and the ocean. Thank you Sari Pacifica Resort on helping to manage and disposed them off.

This should be one of the better off island off Kuala Terengganu due to the limited resort operators, hence, limited number of tourists. However, it is very sad that the entire beach is litter with rubbish and plastics are the main culprit. The resort operators, the people who are working on these resorts and the tourists visiting these resorts need to do better and care more of the environment. It would be great for resort operators to educate tourists upon their arrival as part of their welcome orientation and entirely ban plastic bottles, cups and etc. The government of Malaysia should do better to ban plastic bottles on marine park areas. The dead corals is a sad sight to see, thought the problem only plague the Perhentian and Redang Islands due to its sheer numbers of visitors, didn’t expect the same happened to this island. Please save our nature our islands and the ocean.

Abundance Underwater Marine Life - Pulau Lang Tengah This small and beautiful island is located between Redang and Perhentian islands. A trip to either, Redang or Perhentian, is not complete if one does not venture to Lang Tengah. The island got its name from the eagles that come to breed during mating season. The Island's sparkling white sand and crystal clear water-are simply irresistable. Varieties of hard and soft corals and prolific marine life found here makes it a perfect destination for divers.
