Gallo Nero Italian Restaurant

Was recommended by a friend to be here. The restaurant has a minimalist yet classy setting. The lunch menu we took was simple yet comprehensive. Price for the 3-course meal was extremely affordable and the ingredients were fresh; the friendly Italian owner was leaving in the afternoon to procure ingredients for dinner. Flavour wise, there was nothing to fault. Seafood were well cooked with no hint of fishy smell. The trofie with pesto was so good that we couldn't believe how tasty it was. Such a great find, highly recommended.

One of our favorites. The best Italian restaurant in Malaysia! The food we tried are amazingly tasty and their service & hospitality are great. We wanted to eat lobster pasta which we ate at Gallo Nero few years ago, so I asked the owner to cook it again before visiting. He found our lobster and cooked it for us!! That lobster pasta is still the best pasta dishes we’ve ever had in our lives! We usually go to Gallo Nero everyday while staying in Langkawi. Thank you Lorenzo and the team. We’ll definitely come back soon! *That lobster pasta is our special request and must reserve the lobster.

Great food Great service

Went the first time today for lunch, on recommendedation of a friend. The quality of the food was excellent, the price was very reasonable, the staff were friendly, polite and extremely attentive and the restaurant was both comfortable and stylish. One very small complaint was that the glass of red wine I ordered was too warm. Which slightly marred what would have otherwise been a perfect lunch. Hence the missing star. But would definitely visit again.
