Nordic Hotel, Abuja

Lovely hotel. Stayed in a double room which had the necessary amenities one would expect. I like the simple decor the room had, it was minimalistic. I also liked the bathroom which had a shower with ample pressure Too bad I didn’t take photos. The downside is that the breakfast was nothing to write home about. Ordered plantain and literally got 6 pieces of it. My cappuccino was served cold, which was a major turn off

Our stay here was awful. We saw the hotel listed on the web as 10 tops in Abuja and decided to spend the Easter there, Check-in was a total mess, our reservation for the Easter holiday was given to another customer, we were checked into a room we hadn't booked for (downgraded) and as refund would be made. We decided to stay for 2 nights instead of 3 as earlier paid for even though my sister objected to it. There was only one bottle of water for 2 adults, we'd requested for an extra bottle but were denied saying only 1 person was entitled. We had to go get our own water from a store. 2 hours later we got the one bottle we had earlier requested for. We requested for shower caps, but they never returned with our requests. Fast forward to breakfast the following morning... we ordered for breakfast at 9:00am but received it at 10:30 am cold and un-appealing, received 4 pcs of very hard yam (the head) that can't even be chewed by a goat and very cold eggs. I called the reception to vent and eventually got my food replaced after almost an hour. I won't be returning here for whatsoever reason and will never recommend this place to anyone. The only good thing about this place is its serenity and cleanliness but service is sub-zero. My pregnant sister and I Looked forward to an exciting stay but ended up terribly disappointed as we could very well have stayed back at home instead of spending so much and getting NO value for the money. really painful.

An amazing place... Wish I could hide it away from the rest of the world... Love this place to bits. The villa is even more quiet... Need I say more..

One of the best boutique hotels I've had the pleasure of spending time in. Mostly used by business travellers, I see it as also perfect for a honeymoon getaway. Most won't like that it's somewhat far from the city centre, but that exactly is the icing on the cake for me. Of course, interior decor -- from the lobby to the rooms -- is typically scandinavian. I'm particularly impressed by the shelve of books right smack at the centre of the reception area -- it's the first thing that catches your eyes as you step into the building. It's got 3-4 wings of (46 rooms in 4 categories), but only two-thirds of these are open to guests as of the time of my visit (yesterday).
