Our dog had had a cough for weeks. He was asthmatic according to the "doctor". He was given medication to cure the cough. But it persisted. We came back 3 times with the same complaints. At first he was well on weight and on the 3rd visit our dog was overweight. Even though it had exactly the same weight as last time. Several times showing videos of our dog and his complaints. Looked up on google and asked other vets what it could be. But if you presented this to the Urk Veterinary Practice, you were told "Yes, but who is the doctor here, we or google. If it was that easy, everyone could do the job". I understand this. But it was just a suggestion. We eventually went to the Emmeloord Animal Clinic, they made a scan. His pancreas is very swollen as a result of the prescribed "medication". Now our dog is on an IV with a swollen pancreas. The Emmeloord Veterinary Clinic said his pancreas was the size of a labrador's pancreas and it is a Chihuahua. And from X-rays of his lungs. He turned out not to be asthmatic at all. Deeply disappointed that the doctor had not previously informed us or referred us to the Emmeloord Animal Clinic.
