Lovely bakery with delicious fresh products. They are the only one in the city selling the infamous skitaart.

Aside from the delicious cakes, pastries and sweets, Verspeek bakes even better bread then the Baker I grew up with: the crust is very crisp, while the inside is nice and chewy in great varieties. Something I was very much looking forward to when I moved back to the Netherlands from the US

Fantastic baker friendly helped with special days, we have been getting our pastries for over 50 years. Highly recommended.

This baker has not yet discovered the theme of customer-friendliness, while he does have hefty prices. If you buy more than three loaves of bread, they already ask if you want to order it next time. Yesterday I was treated downright rude. After I asked five different things that had already run out at 11:30 am, I noticed that because of this they are missing out on sales. Apart from the fact that it is strange that you are already out of stock at 11.30 am, the way in which the male employee reacted is very customer unfriendly (then start a bakery yourself, he said). I have been coming here every week for years, but not Verspeek for me anymore.
